Disappointed in this book. It started out Mindanao weird for me with the whole instant love connection between two enemies. The author didn't really give too much about their past. Then their love connection started to bring more interest to me as I kept reading and then boom...a whole new set of plots start to unfold and get rushed through with hardly any realism.

I think the book had so much potential but it fell flat for me. Too much going on in some parts and barely enough going on in others.

I wish I could give this book a 5 stars, it had so much potential, it had a good plot, but that about it...Along the way the story line started to lose what should has been a good story..1st let me say there were to many characters, for this book, specially when the book was RUSH,RUSH,RUSH.. I felt like maybe there was a dead line to finish writing it..I also felt that maybe if the writer had spend more time with the plot of the story (And again it had so much potential), then the 2 main characters and their sex life, which by the way, it was nothing special to read.. Read better sex scene, it been written to many time before, nothing new when it came to the sex..."Is like been there done that", this book had a serious subject matter for it to be rush and because of it the 2 main characters, I didn't feel the chemistry and because of it.. It lost the edge and the value of a good book...I also felt a little cheated as well...There were characters in this book that was never given a change, I felt their were there as movie extra, just to have some background performers...This story lack when it had so much potential with a sad subject matter and good characters to play with and to have written one hell of a book...
Spencer is an Arrogant but Charming, Holy Hell Sinfully Sexy man who I want to throw on my bed and do Wicked things (winks) but I guess so does Harley although it takes a bit for her to admit it ;)
Harley is a Beautiful and Spunky Spitfire with a huge heart.
These two have Hated/Loved each other since they were five ever since Harley killed Spencer's doll when they were playing together. This starts a prank/hate war between the two all throughout school up until High School graduation. College finally gives them time away from each other but summer break brings them back together. They both are home and it's only a few minutes before Harley's life crumbles before her eyes or so she thinks. Harley's dad apparently is dating Spencer's mom and now they are moving into Harley's home. Way to ruin her summer vacation she feels! It takes literally a day until these two succumb to their desires they have had their entire life but always resisted. Even their friends have placed bets on how long it would take for Spencer & Harley to give in. These two are Explosive, Hot, and Sweet together until something Tragic strikes. There are many twists I did not see coming in this story. I was Hooked and finished in a day's time. Want to know all the "TWISTS"?? You know you do... so go Buy yourself a copy ASAP!! This is a Must Read!!!!!!!!
Immediately after reading this book I was so blown away I had to go see what some other reviewers were saying and everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I have to say I was stunned. This is one of those books that I think is getting rated unfairly because some of the readers are not happy with the way the storyline went. So I will warn you, Amanda Heath didn't wrap this romance up in pretty bows and rainbows. This is a hard, gritty book of fiction with touches of the harsh reality that some people go through. It's a novel that gets dirty and evokes feelings and brings descriptions that some people would rather not have in their mind.
So how do you find something like this a fantastic read? Well first the writing was amazing. This author can write a storyline that clamps the reader down to whatever she has going on in the pages. You are tossed head first into a hot heated romance that leaves you racing through the pages for all the scenes this author so wonderfully paints.
The two main characters bring so much angst and fire to this whirlwind romance, it leaves you all fuzzy with feelings of lust. Then a tragedy hits. A gut wrenching, sob breaking tragedy. We are left stunned and angry and we want to be so mad at the author...for how can she do this to our beloved character? But then you take a breath and you realize...it's her story to tell. She's telling it real. She's giving us a piece of raw realism. It's the ugly side of humans. The side we wish didn't exist. Amanda Heath can drag your heart through the mud and at the same time bring you back to hope. To love.
This book was simply an amazing read. Thank you to the author for a novel that left me open when I finished. You are a great writer. This was a great book. Don't miss out on this novel. I give this book my thumbs up!
I really wanted to like this book, that is until the plot went to crazy town.

I won't bother to reharsh the plot since other reviewers already have. I will say that I can see the potential that this author has. If she had stick to one plot, like the rape and Harley's recovery with Spencer's help, this book would have been good. Instead everytime Harley started to heal from some drama in her life she takes another blow.

With the addition of all the subplots that came out of nowhere, the book became inconsistant and ridiculous.
some reviews say..."Action packed" I say "Action thrown in on top of each other"
Fire in her eyes starts with a mean as hell girl and the guy that likes her and it turns out she likes him too. Their parents have secretly been dating and now plan on living together which you would think would have these two sneaking around making out when no one is looking right??? LOL, dad and mom catch them having sex and sit them down for the "We have been waiting for you to have sex talk" Kinda creepy. After that so much stuff happens that leaves you thinking your reading a soap opera script.
After a while i was just left thinking...what the crap! This book could have been a 5 book series and then it still would have had too much drama. But hey, it does have a happy ending...they both enroll in online college courses! SCORE!
